Michael joined CarsonAllaria Wealth Management in 2019. He is responsible for assisting the firm with various operations-related tasks, such as trading and rebalancing, financial planning analysis, and creating client reports. Michael is also responsible for working with our compliance team to execute and evaluate our corporate compliance program.
Michael earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2018. The CFP® marks identify those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement planning, and estate planning. Michael also holds a Life & Health Insurance License and a Series 66 Security License.
Michael has more than 10 years of experience in the financial services industry and has worked for multiple well-known financial organizations, including Stifel, Merrill Lynch, and Edward Jones.
Michael is originally from Highland, IL. He currently lives in the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon community with his wife Claire and their daughter Caroline. They enjoy walking the trails, spending time with family and friends, and finding new places to eat.

Individuals certified by CFP® Board have taken the step to demonstrate their professionalism by voluntarily submitting to the CFP® certification process that includes thorough education, examination, experience and ethical requirements. The CFP® is issued by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. Prerequisites require a designee to hold a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university as well as three years of full-time personal financial planning experience. In addition, candidates must complete a CFP-board registered program (or hold an accepted designation, degree or license) and take the CFP Certification examination. To maintain certification, the designee is required to complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years and continue to agree to be bound by the Standards of Professional Conduct.
